Life's Lessons From The Ant

Here's an interesting fact about the ant. About how they communicate. Although researches are not clear on how this process fully operates, it is evident that the food from the social stomach carries with it chemicals that report information about what is happening in every part of the nest! Far out man! For instance, food picked up from the nursery workers includes a report on the conditions there. And food shared by scout ants communicates what new sources of food are being brought back to the nest. This sharing of food acts just like newspaper (these ones speaks truth) to keep every ant in the nest informed about the conditions of their fellow workers.Interesting isn't it? Knowledge is vital and the diligence the ants put in to transmit those messages kept the colony is a state of prosperity ... until of course a little kid comes along and decides to pee on the nest. Ha..ha..ha! But not to worry. NOTHING worries the ants. They just keep on going on! Are you?

We assimilate knowledge daily through things we see, hear, read, etc. Most of it are just junk. In the Body of Christ, there is this social stomach (read last week's posting)that passes information every time we digest the "food". These "hidden messages" are what some call 6th sense. It's an intuition, a premonition. It's "thus says the Lord". This intuitive part of us gets honed every time we digest the Bread of Life (God's Word). That's why so often when we hear bad news about the economy or whatever, there is a sense of calmness on the inside of us as if something is telling us, " Hey it's ok. God is in control. He is my shield and I will abide under the shadow of the Almighty God". I am sure you have heard this inner voice many times over. Sometimes it warns you of impending dangers! Like the ants, I'd rather tuned in to God's Word than on Malaysiakini. The world can't offer me peace and guidance like God's Word does. And the lesson from the ant today? Simply this ....

As a Christian, let us pass the Word around as we brace bad news. Let's encourage each other that Jesus is coming soon. Let's tell each other that no matter what the economy may be, "God will not let us be tried beyond our strength. And in the midst of trying times, He has prepared for us a way of escape". Let's not go around telling each other how bad things are and how things are never going to get better. As Christians let's read God's Newspaper and then let's be God's bearer of good news encouraging one another.

Hear ye .... hear ye .... hear ye ... Read all about it! David slay Goliath in the Name of the God of Israel. Hear ye ... hear ye ... hear ye .... Read all about it. God promised "Your Barns Will Be Full".

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God bless. This is part 5 on "Financial Thingy".
